Shopping in Truro

Truro has a compact city centre around the cathedral with very strong and diverse retailing, a really nice place! There are a range of boutique clothing shops as well as most multiples, so one can easily spend a day in Truro shopping.

If you need to stock up on food and wine during your holiday, you can choose from the larger supermarkets, Tesco, M&S and Sainsburys or the smaller delis including Lavender Deli, the Cheese hop, Ferris Town, Experience Wine, Old Bridge Street. Don't forget to visit the Wednesday Farmers market too, usually open till 4.00pm.

South Cornish Coast Beaches

    It can get very hot on this extensive south facing beach with the famous Nare Head Hotel overlooking part of it, otherwise completely rural
  • St Anthony Head, near St Mawes (30 mins drive away)
    Well worth a visit itself
  • Falmouth (25 mins drive away)
    Good beaches, and relax at the Gyllanvase Beach cafe
  • Explore further on the Lizard Peninsula (45 mins drive away)
  • Cadgwith plus Kynance Cove which is a beautiful, Mediterrean style beach on the South Coast. Great for walks, and sunbathing
